Worship

Worship is a full-body sensory experience, that can move us from one state to another. We come to be transformed. -Rev. Sara Goodman

When we think about Sunday mornings, we think about the music we share and the sermon that’s given, but there are so many more elements that go into successful worship. Setting the tone in the visual presentation, in the physical layout and how someone moves to come into the space, the placement and arrangement of the altar – all of these things make a difference.

When considering the words I share and the pacing of the moments, I consider the emotional arc and the desired transformation. Do I want us to leave feeling joyful, feeling called to action, or feeling safe and loved? How will we as a congregation be connected through the service? If I can move even one person, I will have made a difference.
